Degradable plastics damage recyclate quality, study claims

As little as 2% degradable plastic can significantly reduce the quality of plastics recyclates, according to a new peer-reviewed industry study, commissioned by European Plastics Converters (EuPC).

Brussels-based trade body, EuPC, said it had commissioned independent industrial tests which had been conducted by Dr Wolfgang Stadlbauer of the Transfer Centre for Polymer Technology in Austria.
